In Paris, from June 20 to 25, 80 spring-summer 2024 collections for men will be presented, including the Louis Vuitton show, the first of artistic director Pharell Williams, presented on the evening of the first day of fashion week.
The show by the American musician, producer and stylist was highly anticipated and Pietro Beccari, CEO of Louis Vuitton, explained before the show that he needed "someone who has something special, who can do different arts, music, fashion ... can touch." This was achieved with this spectacular show, which also featured the Pont Neuf.
The show is scheduled for 9:30 p.m., but access to the parade's venue, the Pont Neuf, is exclusively by boat, according to an email from the house: the Promenade Edouard Glissant in front of the Musée d'Orsay, the front of which features a giant poster showing a pregnant Rihanna carrying several colorful bags from the suitcase manufacturer. And not to miss the boarding pontoon, a video recording was sent with the Google landmark. Estimated boarding time: 20:30.
The boat ride under the Royal, Carrousel and Arts bridges takes us to the foot of the Pont Neuf, the oldest bridge in the capital, just a stone's throw from the headquarters of the luxury house. The staging is spectacular: a huge golden carpet - with iron cubes also gilded for seating - forms the podium that stretches from the right bank to the Ile de la Cité. The choice of gold, although not very present in the outfits, is "an allusion to the sun, the central point of the collection," explains the house.
